Uses of precipitated barium sulfate products: used as raw materials or fillers for paints, inks, plastics, advertising pigments, cosmetics batteries, rubber products as fillers and reinforcing agents, polychloroethane resin as fillers and weight-increasing agents, surface coating agents for impression paper and copper board paper, sizing agents for textile industry. Glass products can be used as clarifiers to defoam and increase gloss. It can be used as protective wall material for radiation protection.

Precipitated barium sulfate is also used in ceramics, enamel, spices and pigments industries. It is also a raw material for manufacturing other barium salts, such as powder coatings, paints, marine primers, ordnance equipment paints, automotive paints, latex paints, interior and exterior wall building coatings, which can improve the light resistance, weather resistance, chemical and electrochemical corrosion resistance of products and decorative effect of products, and enhance the impact strength of coatings.

The inorganic industry is used as raw materials for the manufacture of other barium salts such as barium hydroxide, barium carbonate, barium chloride, etc.
