There are two types of barium sulfate, one is precipitation, the other is water-washed, and the output is barite. Industrial products have barite crushing and precipitated barium sulfate made by chemical reaction with barite as raw material.

Precipitated barium sulfate does not change color when encountering hydrogen sulfide

There are two types, one for the precipitation, the other is water wash type, the output is barite, industrial products have barite crushing and barite as raw materials through chemical reaction made of precipitated barium sulfate. Barium sulfate

dissolved in acid alkali metal salt becomes barium carbonate, slightly soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in other acids and bases. Although

precipitated barium sulfate is the same as barite powder in chemical properties, it has no crystallization performance, and is amorphous, with very fine and soft texture, and higher oil absorption and hiding power than barite powder. It is stable to air and heat, and does not change color with hydrogen sulfide and toxic gases.
